About your hosts

A little corner of Barbados

We’re Holly and Martin, and like many people who visit Barbados, we fell in love with the island on our very first trip in 2017. What started as a holiday quickly became something much more meaningful. We loved the warmth of the people, the beautiful coastline, the relaxed pace of life and that wonderful feeling of being able to slow down and simply enjoy the moment.

With busy professional lives back home — I’m a GP and Martin is a fire safety instructor — we dreamed of having our own little piece of tropical haven: somewhere we could escape to, recharge and enjoy the things we love most. Serenity 7 is the result of that dream, and we’re delighted to be able to share it with our guests.

For us, it’s not simply a holiday rental. We’ve put thought and care into creating a place that feels comfortable, peaceful and welcoming — somewhere we would genuinely love to stay ourselves.

Martin is happiest near the sea. He’s a keen windsurfer and snorkeller and can spend hours enjoying the coastline, listening to the waves and watching the sunset. His adventurous spirit and love of discovering different cultures are a big part of who he is.

For me, working in medicine has reinforced how important it is to have time and space to relax, recharge and enjoy the simple things in life. My medical background includes working in urgent care centres and GP surgeries. I have a special interest in paediatric and palliative care. I want Serenity 7 to feel calm, comfortable and welcoming — a place where guests can truly switch off, feel at ease and enjoy their time in Barbados. Gardening is also one of my favourite pastimes, so I particularly love the natural beauty and greenery that surrounds Serenity 7.

We hope that when you stay at Serenity 7, you’ll experience some of the same sense of peace and happiness that we felt when we first discovered Barbados. Whether you’re spending lazy days on Mullins Beach, exploring the island, taking a dip in the pool or simply sitting back with a drink as the sun goes down, we hope you’ll make some wonderful memories here.

Welcome to our little haven in Barbados — we hope you love the island as much as we do.

Warmest Wishes,

Holly and Martin
